Subjecting your body to immediate temperature changes can also be a cause for cold.
Avoid sitting in air conditioned environments as much as possible. That too can cause more damage to your condition.
Among other things, do not be lazy during the time you have a stuffed nose. The more you lie in the bed, the more you are giving your nose and chest the opportunities to clog and block more.
