To get relief from the pain and for quick healing you can apply some alum on the sores.
Onion has many medicinal properties which help in treating sores; you can apply raw onion juice on the sores. Grapefruit juice can also be used to treat Aphthous Stomatitis. Add few drops of grapefruit juice in a cup of water and gargle it. Eating lots of papaya helps in healing the Aphthous Stomatitis fast. Chewing papaya leaves is also beneficial since the extracts of these leaves have medicinal properties.
Honey is a natural healer for all kinds of sores so applying honey to the sores is also a good idea. Coconut milk is one of the simplest home remedies for canker sores, just gargle with coconut milk twice a day and see its effects. While you are suffering from Aphthous Stomatitis you should avoid hot, spicy and salty foods. One should also avoid sweets as well as toothpaste made of Sodium lauryl sulphate since it irritates Aphthous Stomatitis.
